From music to code
Shortly after my daughter was born, it came to my attention that I wasn’t making near enough money to be a good parent. Living in Seattle, it was somewhat obvious that one of the surest ways I could make the money and provide security for my family was to venture into the world of software engineering.
At this point, I had already spent about fifteen years writing code in the program, SuperCollider, in order to create more interesting ways of making music. Since I seemed to have a particular knack for writing code at this level, I decided to pursue yet another degree and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science in 2018. From here, I worked for a company manufacturing audio devices, freelanced with various companies and individuals in web development, built my own embedded devices with software to make them do fun things, and ended up working as a software developer for the State of Washington.
I am now highly interested in working with people who may wish to solve a problem with software but lack the technical skills to do so. If this is you, shoot me a message!
