On the way home from her lesson last night, she told me that you’re probably her favorite teacher of any teacher she’s had, for anything.

Book Cliff for music lessons

Music should be a part of creative expression that a student should activate the imagination in a fun and exciting way. Let’s face it: not everyone gets excited by a Chopin ballade or a Keith Jarrett improvisation. My mission is to help a student reach their full creative potential through practice and listening to music with an open mind. Students with an open minded approach listen to and discover the varieties music that speak to them. I regularly give listening homework to my students in addition to instrumental practice.

I particularly love and am interested in the musical education of younger people and am most excited to teach elementary through high school aged kids, but I do tend to keep a roster of piano students ranging in age from 5 – 60.

Contact me if you are interested in music lessons for piano, music theory, music composition, or flute.
